Unit Code: NT013-812
Pre or Co-requisites: Yes
Hebrews is a unique book in that it moves from beautiful images of Jesus and His work to powerful and serious warnings for those who would suppose to follow Him. This unit examines the historical situation that gave rise to this epistle as well as studying the major themes that emerge from it. Students will learn to reflect critically on the themes and theological teachings of Hebrews and will exegete selected passages from Hebrews.
This will enable students to be well equipped to gain a deep understanding of Hebrews and the ability to apply the teaching of Hebrews to contemporary Christian living.
