Unit Code: TH103-612
Pre or Co-requisites: Yes
Who are we? Where do we come from and where are we going?
This unit addresses these fundamental questions of humankind from a distinctly Christian perspective. We will examine the teachings of the Old Testament and New Testament concerning these issues.
Firstly we will take a closer look at the doctrine of grace. We encounter a God who does not deal with us as we deserve, but who showers his blessings upon us as he forgives us our sins, justifies us by faith alone, and adopts us as his beloved sons and daughters. We then move on to explore the content of our Christian hope. This includes the kingdom present and future, judgement, the consummation of all things in Christ, death, intermediate state and resurrection and heaven and hell.
