Qur’anic Arabic is as key for Islamic studies as New Testament Greek and Old Testament Hebrew are for biblical studies. Perhaps even more so, since many Muslims hold that reading the Qur’an in any other language is invalid. This course will give students a growing grasp of the Arabic used in the Qur’an. It uses the latest methods of language acquisition and multi-input digital technologies. The Arabic language is broken down into its simplest elements and presented one concept at a time. The approach to vocabulary is revolutionary, beginning with the most frequently-occurring terms and phrases used in the Qur’an. Within seven lessons, 50% of the Qur’an’s vocabulary has been learned. This online course presents the material through instructional videos, provides practice through interactive worksheets, and teaches vocabulary through a computer/phone app using native-speaker voices.
Qur’anic Arabic is crucial for those who want to understand the Islamic worldview and to relate to Muslim people for the purposes of the gospel.
