With the massive growth of Christianity in Africa, Asia and Latin America, Christians are bringing new questions to theology that have seldom been asked in Western theology.
These questions are rooted in significant challenges that Christians face globally and cause us to rethink how we theologize in a changing world. As we reflect on Australia’s relationship with this global context and observe the movement of people and the establishment of migrant churches here, it is increasingly important that we engage in such global theological reflection.
In this unit, we not only raise these different global theological issues under the standard categories (God, Humanity, Christology, Ecclesiology etc.) but also reflect, assess and apply them in light of God’s mission today.
